PRIVACY GUARANTEE

Our pledge to you, our customer, Technoworld respects your privacy. We do not sell, rent, or loan any identifiable information regarding our customers to any third party. Any information you give us is held with the utmost care and security, and will not be used in ways to which you have not consented.

Use of Information. Technoworld will not collect any personal information about individuals except when specifically and knowingly provided by such individuals. Examples of such information are: name, postal address, e-mail address, phone number, birthday, and product commentary.

Technoworld may share non-personal aggregate or summary information regarding its customers with partners or other third parties, but Technoworld does not sell or share any information at the individual customer level.

Technoworld recommends that if you are providing information on behalf of a child, use the parent or guardian’s e-mail address and obtain permission from the parent or guardian.

Parental Consent. Technoworld requires that children consult with their parents before providing any data about themselves, their purchasing profile, and their families.

Collection of Information on Rental Devices. Technoworld will not collect any personal information about individuals except when specifically and knowingly provided by such individuals for the purpose of renting electronic devices from Technoworld. Examples of such information are: name, postal address, e-mail address, phone number, birthday, and product commentary.

Technoworld may collect tracking information on rental SPOT devices for safety reasons during the rental timeframe. This tracking information will be deleted from its database as soon as the device is returned. 

Before we use your tracking information for a purpose that is materially different than the purpose we collected it for or that you later authorized, we will provide you with the opportunity to opt out. An individual may opt-out of such uses of their personal data and tracking information by contacting us at the address given below. We will not use sensitive personal information for a purpose other than the purpose for which it was originally collected or subsequently authorized by the individual unless we have received the individual’s affirmative and explicit consent (opt-in).

Cookies. Technoworld uses cookies on tragps.ca and technoworld.ca and related domains and applications (the “Technoworld service”). By using the Technoworld service, you consent to the use of cookies.

1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is small text file that is stored in your web browser after your visit a website. Cookies assist the website in remembering information about your visit, such as your unique browser session and settings. Cookies can help provide you with a better experience when you use the Technoworld service.

Cookies can either be session cookies or persistent cookies. Session cookies are temporary cookies, and they are erased after you close your browser. When you restart your browser and return to the Technoworld service, the website will not recognize you and you will have to log back in (if login is required) or select your unique preferences/settings again.
